Lately...

Joey and I are in the *ahem* fun process of finding a new place to live. We are currently in a 2100 sq ft house with a 3 car garage, backyard, pond and waterfall. We have been SPOILED. I love this house and could live here forever but after 13 months of high rent and higher utilites, we need to downsize the prices. Our landlords have been amazing and great, we love our neighbors (who have helped us many times) and Preston's preschool is 6 houses away. We couldn't have asked for a better life, but we need to be closer to Dixie College and my work. So as I pack up our things, I think about how life as changed so much in the past 13 months. When we moved in Brayden was just rolling over, now he's running and talking up a storm. Preston has learned so much at Preschool and loves playing in our backyard. It's a very bittersweet feeling. I will miss Hidden Springs Drive very much, now on to the next part of our life.

A few photos from Christmas, we stayed at Joey's Mom's house Christmas Eve. Santa came to visit and brought the boys matching jammies and a puppy dog! It was so much fun opening presents and playing. We spent Christmas Day at my Mom's house where they were spoiled some more.

Im playing catch up, but Brayden celebrated his 1st birthday on November 6th! We traveled up North and had his party at The Legacy Center in Lehi. Lots of family and friends came and we were so glad to see them!

Can you tell which is Preston and which is Brayden? They almost look like twins to me in these photos. In the 9 month photos I put up they looked NOTHING alike.

I LOVE having two boys! They play together quite a bit but sometimes Preston gets grumpy with Brayden for eating his toys. I wouldn't have it any other way as far as having two boys in a row. It makes it so much easier with clothes and toys. Brayden is already walking all over and it's so funny to watch him walk. I'm getting a little depressed that Brayden will be the big ONE next month. This year has flown by and I LOVED every minute of these boys.

Preston started Preschool and he loves it! It's a really cute place, they do the typical preschool stuff and they do the Pledge of Alligence every morning. I LOVE that, I think It's important for the kids to learn. He's learning his alphabet, colors, numbers, days of the week, etc... We wanted him to learn to play with other kids and take direction form adults other than us. This is as good of a picture as I could get, he was grumpy. He is NOT a morning person, by any means. He wasn't very happy about getting up at 8am.

Happy Birthday to my now 3 year old! We celebrated Preston's B-day last Saturday. We had a Toy Story Party! I spent Friday making some goodies, went to work that night and came home around 10:30 and baked until 2am. I was determined to make his cake, like everyother year. Until...I finally gave up at 2am, I was only halfway done with it and didn't have time Saturday. I really go all out on the cakes, I (not sure why) usually pick cakes that are tough to do. I like to make them 3D and competely edible. I also like to make, dye and shape my own fondant, which is why I gave up. It ended up taking farrrr too long. So 8am Saturday morning I called Albertson's!

Camping at Lake Navajo

A few weeks ago we drove up Cedar Mountain to Lake Navajo to camp out for the night. It was lots of fun but a lot of work for one night! Preston had a great time fishing for the first time. Thank goodness it didn't get super cold, I was worried about being too cold and the boys not sleeping well. It was beautiful though and Im looking forward to going back when Brayden is older.

Recipies

Chicken Crescent Squares

8oz cream cheese
1 T butter
1/8 t salt
1/8 t pepper
2 T milk
1 t chives (or finely chopped onion)
2 c Cooked cubed chicken
1 can of crescent rolls (makes 4 servings)
1/2 c bread crumbs
Spray butter

Blend cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Add seasonings
Stir in chicken
Seperate crescent rolls into 4 squares (leave 2 triangles together to form square)
Spoon in 1/2 of mixture into center of squares. Pull all four corners of dough to center and twist. Spray tops with butter and spoon bread crumbles over top. Cook at 350 for 20-25 min or until golden brown.

Ratatouille

1/4 c Vegtable oil
2 large onions finely chopped
1/2 t garlic salt
1 eggplant diced in 1/2'' squares
6 small zucchini, sliced
2 bell peppers, seeded and diced
1 summer squash, sliced
2 t salt
1/2 c minced parsley (optional)
4 large tomatoes (or can of diced tomatoes)

Heat vegtable oil
Add and saute' onions and garlic salt for 5 min
Stir in Eggplant, zucchini, Bell peppers, squash, salt and parsley.
(add more veg oil if needed to keep from sticking)
Cover and simmer for 30 mins.
Add tomatoes and cook at moderate heat for 10 minutes.
It's much better than it sounds!

Joey and I decided that he needed to go back to school as well, so I just got him all setup and tomorrow we are registering all of his classes. My excitement grew and Im glad WE are going back. That is, until, we started going over our schedules, comparing class times with work times. We tried to figure out when he can go, when I can go, when we will both work, what we will do with the kids. Now Im just depressed about it. Our goal was to get Preston in a Performing Arts Preschool next month and we were all set, until now. Our schedules just clash no matter what. Right now he works during the day and I work at night. The kids are ALWAYS with us, and that's how I want it. When we were trying to find a solution to what to do with the kids during our school hours, it came down to 1-2 hours a day at daycare. If you know me, YOU KNOW I AM ANTI-DAYCARE!!!! I've been stressed ever since. I was fine with Preschool, Preston is social and it would be so good for him, it was only 2 1/2 hours two days a week. No big deal. Now if we have to put Brayden in for 1-2 hours a day, I want Preston to go to the same place. I am EXTREMELY protective of my kids and how others treat them, I can't see what "others" are doing during daycare. I am also a firm believer in raising your own kids, not a daycare teacher. I know what your thinking, 2 hours a day isn't much. I just don't trust very many people with my little guys. Agh.

Dentist trip

Preston had his first trip to the Dentist. Most parents worry about these things and I really did'nt think much about it. Mostly because Preston just goes with the flow, he's rarely scared of anything and is Mr. Independant. After waiting a few minutes I took him in, he jumped in the chair (the assisant was SOOO great with him!) She let him push lots of buttons and let him move the chair up and down. He laid back when she asked and just let her clean and examine his teeth. He was GREAT! She said he was one of the best (child) patients she'd ever seen.

Our desktop that we keep our photos on. crashed, again. We try not to put photos on the laptop so we don't bog it down. So here's an update with a few photos from my phone.

So, two Sunday's ago...Jeffery R Holland came into the Roadhouse to eat! I know, your first thought, "On Sunday??". Yep on Sunday, one of the Twleve Apostles came in. I was ridiculously excited, I just HAD to grab him on his way out and ask for a photo. & apparently everyone else just HAD to be in the photo. So here I am, struggling to look over big Utah hair!

By the time he left everyone was talking about the things they needed to repent for...Lol. There's the spirit! His visit did get me feeling like I needed to try harder in all things. I spent the night at home watching church videos and reading quotes from his talks.

Things are good...Im still working and even though work has it's ups and downs, I still go :) I've registered for classes in the Fall and Im SO excited to finally be going back. I haven't been since I was about 7 months pregnant with Preston. Needless to say, IT'S ABOUT TIME!

Preston is his same ole' happy, non-stop, bouncing, cheerful self. He's our little tough guy. Joey and I always talk about how they will "butt heads" when Preston is older. He is going to be a handful because he is a go-getter and very strong willed. It's the Denkowicz in him!

Brayden is our sweet, cuddly boy! He ALWAYS gives these HUGE cheesier faces when I pull out the camera. He just got his two top teeth and they are so cute when he smiles :) He's been crawling up a storm! He has successfully leanred to pull just about everything on top of him. He also stands up holding onto things.

Mother's Day surprise

Life has been so very busy that I didn't even think twice about Mother's Day. I had to work the morning shift and Joey's Mom was in town. My boys (and Joey) got me a boquet of flowers, dove chocolates (my favorite!) a couple of cards and a movie.

Brayden also surprised me with this badboy....

We took the kids, Chad and Sadie out to Quail along with our new Kayak. It was lots of fun watching Preston search for rocks and throw them in, Brayden was trying to just take it all in. We each took turns going out into the water...which was FREEZING! It was relaxing and fun to do something different.

I started a new job at Texas Roadhouse just over a week ago. I had to train for 5 days and take multiple tests in order to be hired. Im finally done and get to pick up my first shift on Tuesday! Im excited, I really miss the time with the kids but It's fun to get out and meet people and have a good time. If you've never been into a Texas Roadhouse, they dance every hour, which is a lot of fun too.

Since my last post we've done SO MUCH! Joey and I drove from South Carolina to Saint George with the kiddo's. The kids were actually VERY good on the long 4-day trip out. I spent some time with family and he flew back with a friend, packed and loaded all of our stuff. He made it back in 3 days, they worked SO hard to get everything, then drove non-stop. He made it back on Easter Sunday, then we moved into our house and I've spent the last 2 weeks unpacking, organizing, cleaning, and rearranging everything we own. It's exhausting! Preston has REALLY been challenging me lately, with none other than TANTRUMS. I am one of those Moms that feels like I HAVE to do everything just right so that he grows up to be a well rounded, genuine, happy person.

Who doesn't want that right?

So here I am stressing out, wondering if everything I'm doing is right. THIS IS HARD!

Right about now Im wondering why kids don't come with instructions...It would be helpful. I have a million and one questions but which answer is right? I search the internet by the latest topic I'm having trouble with, I buy the good ole black and white parenting books. I call my Mom, my sisters and my friends for advice.

Preston is VERY smart, he catches on quickly, he is for sure a logical thinker like his Dad. He is a very sweet little spirit. He is friendly, he says please, thank you and excuse me, but sometimes I want to cry because he is, after all, a "normal" 2 1/2 year old.

....but at the end of the day, he's still alive, so I guess I must be doing something right :)

Disney In December!

We spent a week at a resort in Orlando around the middle of December. It was so much fun to go visit the Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, Epcot and Disney World. Although I opt out when everyone went to Disney, I over did it. I was only 6 weeks postpartum and needed to relax. Steven flew in and Levi came soon after (Levi is Steven's "little brother", in the program. We walked Downtown Disney, had lunch at T-Rex cafe, which was AMAZING! Spent time at Disney Qwest, which is a 5 story arcade and it was so much fun!

We took our little guys to Portrait Innovations in Charleston to have their photos done. Brayden, who's always sleeping or looking around and very happy, screamed most of the time. It was the most he's screamed since he was born. Preston was pretty grumpy also, which made for one stressed Momma! We were able to get these great photos though!

We are just loving our little boys, Brayden is only a week and a half and I've already taken like 300 pictures of him. I hope Im not jinxing myself but he's such a great sleeper and hardly ever cries. It's a night and day difference from Preston. YAY! AND BEST OF ALL...he's nursing!

Brayden Matthew is here! He was born via C-section on November 6th at 9:02 am. He was 6 lbs 15 oz and so very teeny! I am still in the hospital so I can't get photos up for a day or two. Our boy is such a sweet baby, very mellow and quite. We are so very much in love!

Trick or Trunk

Tonight we did Trick or Trunk with our ward. Preston was so adorable in his monkey suit. Meagan, Bill and Will came and Will was the cutest pirate I've ever seen! Isaac and Evan were cute ninja's, they did a great job following Will and Preston around watching them.

Air Force Ball

About 2 weeks ago my Dad invited us to the annual Air Force Ball. It was lots of fun, it was fun to dress up and have a really nice meal. They also gave some great speeches. I sat next to the new Commander and Chief Master Sargent (he took my Dad's place).
Im 36 weeks tomorrow, 3 to go. It's getting pretty tough, my body is sooo not cut out for carrying a baby. My back hurts quite a bit, esp. at night and my stomach muscles feel like they are just ripping apart. Luckily not too much longer though and we will have our cute boy!

We've had alot going on lately, like going out on the boat and getting stuck in a rainstorm and spending lots of time with family. Im just too lazy to post anymore. Im ready for this baby!

33 Weeks...

Our Baby Shower

My sister Meagan and Sister In Law Krista threw a baby shower for us and it was great! They put alot of work into it to make it really cute! We did it a little differently by having all of our family instead of just the girls. We had a great Lasagna dinner with bread and a salad, strawberries, grapes, punch, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, cupcakes and a chocolate/red velvet cake! We played Baby BINGO, ate baby food to figure out what it was and a few other fun games.

Baby Update

I saw my Dr. today, and I just LOVE him! We talked alot about the delivery, where, when, how...etc..We probably spent a good 40 mins just talking. We and I mean he, decided I have to have a repeat C-Section.

He's ran into lots of problems with other women having VBAC's and doesn't want to risk Uterine rupture. We scheduled our C-Section for November 6th at 8:30am! It's a Friday and 1 week before my due date (which I will GREATLY appreciate when the time comes!) Im nervous that I can't go into labor on my own but he reminded me of the pain of contractions. Although I would still rather go into labor on my own. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll happen before that :)

So that's where we stand as of now, we are excited but glad that we still have 9 weeks left. There is still alot Joey and I have to work out before this baby comes. We probably won't get into a house until the 1st of the year which makes it even harder. Preston is still potty trainning and LOVING all of our attention so this may be a hard transition.

Preston is such a smart kid, he could count to 8 before he turned 2. He's up to 10 now :) We are also working on his colors, he seems to catch on super fast. Yesterday he used the potty seat 4 times! I made him a "Potty Seat Chart" and we put stickers on it everytimes he goes, along with him getting M&M's. He get's so excited about it and sometimes tried to go potty 2 or 3 times in a row. He speaks in full sentences and tells me eveytime is needs a diaper change...lol..We just love him so much!

In just a week and a half Joey, Preston and I have been to Charleston, Orlando, Knoxville, Asheville, Memphis, Atlanta, Salt Lake, Saint Geroge, San Jose, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Monterey CA. Needless to say IM EXHAUSTED! We had a great time at Disney World, visited my sister Laura and her family and traveled to California for a Wedding. I am now In Salt Lake staying with my Mom for the next week. So here are some photos of our trip.

This was taken at 23 wks 2 days. Just in the past 2 weeks my belly grew quite a bit and this boy is kicking alot more too! There has been a few times where Preston was on my lap and the baby was kicking him in the back. Preston calls him baby brother...it's so cute!

Orlando/Disney

We are in Orlando for a week! We were able to get a 5-day Disney pass for $99 each!! Yesterday we went down to Blizzard Beach, Downtown Disney and The House of Blues. We had a blast but at the end of the day I was WAYYY over stimulated and my brain shut down. Today we are relaxing, tomorrow we are off to The Magic Kingdom! Our Resort has awesome pools with a pirate ship theme.

Fun Filled Father's Day Weekend!

We went out on my sister Meagan's boat on Friday night which was really nice. We went on the Charleston Harbor. Then on Saturday we went out with my brother Michael on Lake Moultrie. Preston loved the boat, he was trying to "catch" the water in this photo!

Joey got some triple berry muffins for breakfast and a Candy Boquet!

After dinner we had Red Velvet Cake for dessert. We also took my Dad to California Dreaming for dinner, which was nice. It's right on the harbor and overlooks Ocean.

BOY! Although we are not totally convinced! The tech had a hard time determining the gender so after a few minutes of trying she brought in another tech. That 2nd tech said boy after 2 seconds of looking. So take a good look at the photo and tell me what you think....

So this photo is really hard to see but you can see a leg off to the left, the other leg is pointing up. The bladder is the black hole. If you look at the "boy part" it looks like it's too far to the left instead of the middle. Which makes me think it's the cord...but I don't know. Juast click the photo and look closely....

Haulin' across Country

We (and I mean Joey) packed the Budget Truck along with our Brother in law Matt, Thanks Matt! I left Utah at midnight on Tuesday and Joey left the next morning. I flew to Tennessee to spend time with my Sister and her family and Joey drove to meet us there, it took him about 2 1/2 days to get there. Then we all headed to South Carolina! The truck was 24' long and we needed every square inch of it! I can't believe how much stuff we've accumulated over our 3 years together!

While In St.George we swam ALOT, layed under the sun and went 4-Wheelin! . Shelley and Brecken came over for some dinner and the boys had fun playing.Melissa, Chad and their girls Maddi and Hayden came by as well. Maddi is Preston's "girlfriend"!

We are going to celebrate his 2nd Birthday at the Golden Gate Bridge Park! We are flying to CA for a wedding and since all of Joey's family will be there, we thought we would have it then. He will also get one when we come home, his birthday isn't until Aug. 7th, and we will celebrate with my Family!

Sunny Saint George

Joey's Uncle Randy asked us to come down to Saint George to run the business while he went on Vacation. We needed to come down to check out our house and renters one last time before we moved anyway. So for the past 10 days we have been relaxing by the pool and watching lots of movies, and also catching up with some good friends.

I had an ultrasound today, our little bean was moving around quite a bit! I can't believe how much he/she was moving and I couldn't feel a thing. We couldn't see the gender, although my Dr. was great about trying. Im going to miss my Dr's office here, I really love my Doc.

Mother's Day

I spent the morning with my Mom, Shauna, and Jen. We went to lunch at Mimi's Cafe followed by an 80-minute massage! The massage was wonderful and very relaxing, then I left to meet Joey, Preston, Chad and Liam at Lagoon.

So when I get there, Joey says, "I took Preston on the HAUNTED MANSION RIDE, he didn't like it very much.

UMMMMM WHAT!??? YOU TOOK HIM ON A HAUNTED RIDE????

I won't finish that conversation but just leave it to a guy to do something stupid like that. Luckily Preston hasn't had any nightmares....yet.

I've been looking at cute tutu's online for awhile. I just loved them and went and bought tulle, elastic and jewels so I could make them. They are super easy, I think I should have added more tulle to fluff it up but they are cute!

Gender Prediction Test

Today my sister told me that she saw a gender predictor test on the news. So as courious as I am (and after I researched it) I bought one for $30 at Walgreens. It's 90% accurate, it turns orange for a girl and green for a boy. So Joey and I are 90% sure what it is....
it says GIRL!!!

I said "What" (knowing exactly what he meant)

*Shock sets In*

We were planning on saving our pennies and moving to South Carolina when the baby is born but things have changed. We now have no health Ins. which was really nice beacuse it was great coverage.

Luckily Joey has a few side jobs coming up which pay really well. That will hold us over until we move in June! Once we are in SC, he will start school and work and I'll work for awhile until the baby comes.

This past weekend Joey's sister Jenny got married in Provo. We spent alot of time driving all aound from Ogden to Provo to Tooele and back. We did get to spend time with his family, which was lots of fun.

My sweet little dog of 14+ years had passed today. I took her to the vet thinking she just had pneumonia, a few hours later I knew my only option was to let her go. I've had her since I was 10. My Mom paid $75 for her 14 years ago. She came from a puppy mill, which surprised us. She was a gift for me since we had just gone through a far-away move. We miss her deeply.

St. George

Joey and I decided to take a much needed trip to Saint George over the weekend. We packed up our SUV on Saturday and headed out. We stopped in Salt Lake to have a Birthday lunch with Joey's Dad on the way. We were lucky enough to stay with some good friends of ours, Melissa and Chad. They just had baby girl #2 and she is such a doll, she looks like her big sister Maddi. Maddi and Preston played quite a bit and wore eachother out (the parents loved that). It's funny how opposite they are, Maddi is calm, quite, and very mellow. While Preston is SO very full of energy and never stops. We enjoyed Pizza Factory and Texas Roadhouse while we were there. We also went by our house to check on the tenents and to make sure it was in one piece. Just before we left I got to eat at my favorite place ever...DURANGOS YUM! Unfortunatley I forgot the card for the camera, so we missed out on lots of great pictures. Thanks Melissa and Chad!

Preston is getting so big, I get sad thinking about it. He is such a smart little guy, who has no fear. We are so happy to have him in our lives. About 2 hours after I put him down for bed, I always really want to go wake him up to play, but I know better. His personality really comes out every day. Joey and I have decided that he will grow up to be an adrenaline junky!

Why so many tests you ask....Well Joey thought that just because the 2nd pink line was lighter, that it wasn't positive. It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but they are all positive. I explained it to him over and over. Finally we went and had a blood test done yesterday and it came back positive! We are very excited, Im already soooo tired during the day. We are thinking PINK! Im still a little nervous since it's still so early. So please pray for us, we are hoping for the best! Tonight we are celebrating by going to Market Street Grill in Salt Lake!

Fondant Cake.

I have attemped to make a fondant cake. It was harder than I imagined. It took quite awhile too.

It was hard to get the fondant to roll out just the way I wanted.

As you can see Im clearly in need of some practice. It was also almost midnight when I finished. It was fun though, Im going to keep practicing.

This morning I woke up to Joey bringing me breakfast in bed! I thought he was at work but he just pretended to get up and go, he took the day off to spend with me :)
He made me eggs, toast with jam, lots of crispy bacon(just the way I like it!) a glass of apple juice and a long-stemmed rose in a vase! He had already got Preston out of bed, fed and changed! Can you believe that!? Then he gave me a 30 minute massage and a card that said we were going shopping! It was fabulous! I'll add more later-

15- How much weight did you gain? 38 lbs. all in my belly!

18- What did you crave the most? Wow, I craved only McDonalds hamburgers at first, then I ate 2 cans of Chicken Noodle Soup a day for a month, then Milkshakes everyday towards the end. I was very careful about what I ate.
19- Did you crave anything crazy? Not really.
20- Who or what got on your nerves the most? Not sure, although during my 7th month on, I had horrible back pain and cried alot because of it.
21- Were you married at the time? yeah
22- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? No except that after pushing for 3 hours they finally gave me a C-section, which was HORRIBLE!!! They lie when they say you can't feel anything.
23- Where were you when you went into labor? Home, contractions started at 9pm and around 1am I woke Joey up.

25- Who drove you to the hospital? Joey
26- Did you go early or late? One day late.
27- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? When I was pushing, it was my Mom and Joey. For the C-section it was Joey and lots of Nurses and Drs.

29- Did you have any drugs for the pain? Epidural, I got it at a 4 THANK GOODNESS!
30-Did you go Natural or have a c-section? C- Section
31- What was your first reaction after giving birth? When I heard him I cried and saw the nurse walk by with him. After that I was sick to my stomach and in pain.
32- How big was the baby(s)? 7 lbs 10 oz. 21 1/2 inches.
33- Did your Husband cry? I think so, Im not sure, he took off with Preston into the other room.

Busy Busy Busy!

We have been doing quite a bit lately. Preston got the Measels...yes the Measels! So we missed out on some birthday party's. Then I've been doing a lot of crafts for Christmas and getting things together for everyone. We also went to Bailee's 1st Birthday in West Jordan. We've also been back and forth to my In-laws. On top of that 8 of my neices came to have a sleep over the other night and I taught them how to make soap then they made tote bags and ironed cute jewels onto them. The next morning we went to Barnes and Nobles, then Cracker Barrel (YUM!) and on to the movies. After the movies I taught them how to make magnets. Then Joey got sick, then me and then Preston :/ So here are some random photos.

It took us a couple of hours to get him in this, but he loves it now! Can ya tell he's teething!

Santa Clause Is Coming to Town!

We spent Christmas eve at Joey's Dad's house, we had a GREAT dinner! We spent the night with his Mom and woke up to lots of wind and snow. Preston got some neat presents and we had a great time with the family. We then drove to my Mom's house and opened our presents to each other and from my Parents! It was wonderful and I wish I was able to spend it with all of my family but they are far away. I can't wait until next year when Preston is bigger and will really enjoy Santa.

One year ago today we lost our "Pop". My Grandfather passed, and I truly believe he went to spend Christmas with my Grandmother. He was a Veteran in WWII and has had many church callings. I was lucky enough for him to give me my Patriarchal Blessing. We really miss him and his talks that I always looked forward to when visiting. He continually talked about how important Education was and to always study. So, Pop we are thinking of you and Grandma, we miss and love you! Merry Christmas!

Glenn Beck

On Saturday I got up and showered to head to Deseret Book to see Glenn Beck! I bought 2 of his books and after 1 hr and 20 mins, I finally made it to him. He signed the books and shook my hand while he told me Merry Christmas. He was very personable and I could see he was a genuine person. So I snapped a few shots and turned to leave when a man from KNRS 570 stopped me and asked for an interview. He asked if I was going to Glenn's show that night and I told him I couldn't afford to (at $80 a ticket). So he did a quick video interview and I talked him from 2 tickets to 8! I guess it's just that Southern Charm :) Everyone was SO EXCITED. Shauna, Sean, Jen, Jeff, Tia, Jeff and I headed to the E-Center to see his show. It was based on his book the Christmas Sweater. It was great and it really put the meaning of Christmas in perspective. He is an amazing guy and Im so glad I was able to see his show!

Thanksgiving In SC

Joey, Preston and I went to Charleston to spend Thanksgiving with my Family. I was so excited to see everyone and I know they couldn't wait for us...atleast for Preston :) Michael took me on a ride along on Tuesday, it was fun but not too much going on. Our first call was a Man burning his wife's things in the house because she was leaving him....hmmmm.
My neice Jessica and my Dad picked me up from the Airport with a Balloon and roses! There was also a BIG Pooh Balloon for Preston, which he was so attached to. He floated that thing all over the house everyday. I also played the traditional game of Rummikub with my Grandma, we do this everytime I visit.
We did quite a bit in a week and a half. My Dad spoiled us, it was great. Thanks Dad and Lorraine!

Charleston Harbor

On Thanksgiving Day my Dad prepared the boat for us to take to the Charleston Harbor. We rode around for about 2 hours. Preston hated his life jacket, he couldn't move.

My Family headed to Myrtle Beach on Friday, we got a great hotel on the Boardwalk. We spent the night at Midevil Times which was amazing! We were the supporting the Green Knight. We had a great time watching the show while eating with our hands!

1. I have recently picked up sewing and I love it! I've made many baby blankets, aprons and cute things. It's kind of my stress reliever, where I can just sit and think and nothing else exists.

2. I wish I could make working-out a habit. I used to work out everyday when I ran track and cheered. I was in great shape and wish I didn't feel like I was going to pass out everytime I walked up stairs :)

3. I drink chocolate milk ALL the time. I feel like it's a kids thing but I love it.

4. I become competely consumed by reality shows, I don't know why but I love them. Even though they are senseless.

5. Im starting classes again in January, Im sooo glad. I've been feeling like it's taking FOREVER and I just really want my Psychology Degree.

6. I tend to come off shy sometimes, but really I just study people and learn as much as I can about them. I always like to be a step ahead :)

7. Lately I've been reading alot, which is something I was never interested in unless it was a magazine. I just finished "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks.

8. I LOVE sleeping. If you wake me up too early or just when I fall asleep, a darker side comes out of me :) I get soooo irritated.(Other than with Preston of course).

9. Im am so baby hungry! I miss my big belly and feeling the kicks inside. I will be happy to have a little girl but not for awhile. I want to finish school.

10. It's almost midnight and I have to get up at 5:30am to catch a flight to South Carolina...Im usually in bed by 10.

So I have to brag about Preston tonight. He usually goes to bed around 8 pm every night. So tonight I really wanted to get him in bed because The Office comes on at 8. I say "Want to go Night Night?" He shakes his head "yes" and starts walking towards his room. He goes to the crib, so I put him in it with a bottle.....He went right to sleep!!! YAY! I was so impressed that he knew exactly what I was talking about and cooperated competely!He's so smart and learns so quickly! We just love him to pieces! My little man is growing up so fast!

1. He is always really happy in the mornings, he will wake up and talk to himself until I get him.

2. His favorite thing to do is play outside, we spend atleast an hour outside everyday...now that it's getting cold Im not sure what Im going to do.

3. He never took a pacifier, he doesn't have attachements to anything.

4. He's really easy to put down, at bedtime and naptime. He goes right to sleep.

5. He's very smart, he catches on very quickly and has learned just about everything early. He also says about 10 words or more regularly.

Lately I've been making baby blankets for fun. It's become a hobby of mine. I always thought sewing was for old lady's, but that quickly changed when my Step Mom made cute blankets for Preston when he was born. I LOVED the idea and a few months ago Joey bought me a sewing machine. I also started making aprons!

This is a kids apron, Im giving these to my neices and friends kids for Christmas.

My Mom, Stepdad, Chad, Preston and I packed up the 40 ft RV and headed to Manti for Halloween Night. Preston and I laid in the back bedroom and watched Shrek 2, so the 3hr drive went by pretty quickly! When we got there my neices, nephews, us and my sister went to a Halloween Carnival. Preston and I won the cake walk!

The next morning we went to Liam's Baptism, we are so proud of him!

Spooky Dinner and Carving Pumpkins!

I spent the evening preparing dinner for the fam. Although my Mom and I were running late from the gym, so I really kinda threw it together and I didn't get to make everything I wanted. We started off with Ghoul Soup then had Jack-O-Lantern tamale bake with Witches brew. I made blue pumpkin ice to go with it. It was yummy!

We carved pumpkins yesterday, it was lots of fun. Preston got so mad when we pulled him away from the pumpkins, he had a huge fit. We did a skull, and two regular Jack-O-Lantern faces.

After we carved them I cleaned the seeds and roasted them, they were pretty good!

This was taken on Thanksgiving 2006. I was pregnant in this picture and didn't know it yet. I should've known something was up when I went back for seconds and thirds :) From left to right: My oldest brother Michael, Joey, Me, my nephew Evan, Sister in Law Krista and my brother Jared. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house in Charleston, SC. I grew up there and I love to go visit whenever I can. This Thanksgiving we are going back again!

Colorado Mini Vacation

We took a trip to Steamboat on Tuesday and spent the week there relaxing and spending quality time together. There wasn't much to do, so mostly we drove around and hiked. We did take Preston to the park and the Botanical Gardens(although everythings pretty much dead when it's 50 degress out).

On Saturday morning we drove to Denver to go to the Aquarium and spend sometime driving around the area. The Aquarium was AMAZING, we LOVED it! So I went a little picture crazy here :)
